The Shop-Floor Sentinel
“I want something that watches our shop floor and flags problems before they cost us.”
A precision manufacturer

The challenge
The knowledge of “what good looks like” lived in two veterans’ heads. When they were off the floor, small drifts became scrap, and nobody noticed until the end of a run.
What we built
- A sensing layer that quietly watches the signals that actually predict a bad run
- A model that learned the difference between normal variation and the start of a problem
- Plain-language alerts to the right person’s phone — “check station 3” — not a wall of dashboards
- A weekly digest that turns months of floor data into three things worth doing
The result
Drifts get caught in minutes instead of at the end of a run. The veterans’ instinct is now a system the whole floor shares.
Timeline
First alerts live in six weeks.
